FREEE trio manifest a strong and contemporary expression that takes the relationship between poetry and improvisational music a step further. Per Aage Brandt pianist, philosopher and poet, Morten Carlsen saxophone, taragot and ney, Kresten Osgood drummer, composer and music promotor is a collaboration between three generations in Danish experimental music. Danish poet, author Peter Laugesen is joining FREEE trio with readings from his poetry collection "Livstid" 1987.

Alternating between poetry recited by Per Aage Brandt and long sessions floating in and out of melody, touching the abstract, and moving within a very large dynamic spectra, the uniqueness of the constellation is characterized. The originality of the music of the trio is accordingly found in the fact all members are avoiding musical choices based on the already existing canons of free improvisation. Instead, they are seeking a field in which truly new music can arise. When Per Aage Brandt reads out his texts, the reaction of the trio is miles away from the aesthetics of traditional Jazz & Poetry.

While the group has been active for eight years, this is the first release of the music.

FREEE is an album, which unites three heavy weight performers of Danish experimental music with two of the most important poets of the country. A strong and contemporary expression that takes the relationship between poetry and improvisational music a step further.
